ABOUT
Tatiana Garnett is an emerging film artist born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Her work engages archival material to explore the intersections of documentary practice and Black and Brown selfhood. Weaving between public and personal archives, Garnett centers themes of abolition, aesthetics, community, and liberation in her work. Garnett received her BA from Occidental College where she studied Media Arts & Culture with an emphasis in Film Production. She recently completed a fellowship with the Docx Archive Lab at Duke University’s Center for Documentary Studies and is currently producing her latest archive-driven short meditating on the body’s relationship with oceans traversed.
